The investment project led by EHT S.C.p.A. involves the renovation and repurposing of approximately 2,900 m² of the former CE.SA.ME. industrial plant in Catania’s industrial zone, now owned by the Industrial Development Consortium. The project spans two levels (ground floor and first floor) and encompasses three building structures. The goal is to create a hub for technological innovation, called LABS HUB, which will serve as an integrated space for research, development, training, and experimentation in the context of the digital and sustainable transition of businesses.
The Hub will include several areas:
• Creative Design Studios Where ideas take shape. Interfaces, 3D models, and immersive graphics created using augmented/virtual reality tools and industry-standard software.
• Advanced & Additive Manufacturing From design to production in hours, not months. Industrial 3D printers for complex components, with a drastic reduction in waste.
• Data Platform & Control Room The brain of the LABS-HUB. AI and big data transform IoT streams into real-time decisions for energy efficiency and process optimization.
• IoT Lab The connectivity laboratory. Testing and development of smart devices for industry, smart cities, and the environment, simulating real-world operational scenarios.
• Security Operation Center Invisible protection. Continuous monitoring, proactive defense, and threat analysis to ensure total security of the digital ecosystem.
