The InSiDe project was launched as a concrete response to the serious socioeconomic challenges facing Sicily, particularly the high unemployment rate (40% among young people) and the “brain drain.” The ambitious goal is to transform the island into a true hub of innovation and knowledge.
To this end, InSiDe is based on a phygital model founded on two essential pillars:
• a digital platform that acts as an intelligent aggregator, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze a vast amount of data (reports, studies, theses). The platform does not merely display data, but processes it into strategic insights useful for guiding decisions and generating new opportunities, in line with the objectives of the PNRR;
• a Physical HUB, a real-world meeting place that acts as a catalyst, where digital insights are translated into concrete actions and co-creation projects, facilitating collaboration between businesses, institutions, and research, while actively promoting the inclusion of women and young people.

In summary, InSiDe offers a competitive advantage to the Sicilian region by using data to identify new economic dynamics and facilitating the adoption of advanced technologies through the integration of the digital and physical worlds. The entire project is designed to be a replicable model, aiming for sustainable growth and Sicily’s transition toward a knowledge-based economy.
