R&D Researcher – PRUNE Project

The Role
EHT S.C.p.A. is seeking an R&D Researcher to join the R&DI Business Unit and participate in the scientific and experimental activities of the PRUNE project.
The successful candidate will contribute to exploring new technological solutions, analyzing the state of the art, conducting experiments, and generating knowledge useful for the development of the digital platform envisaged by the project. The role is designed for a person with strong intellectual curiosity, an aptitude for applied research, and the ability to link scientific inquiry with concrete project objectives.
Within PRUNE, the candidate will work on topics related to the sustainable management of marine-coastal environments, the use of data for spatial planning, the forecasting of environmental phenomena, and the identification of innovative solutions for the valorization of Posidonia oceanica residues.

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in the execution of research protocols, experimental testing, and technology scouting activities. They will be involved in analyzing the state of the art, collecting and organizing scientific evidence, producing technical documentation, and assisting with the drafting of papers, reports, and new project proposals.
The role involves constant interaction with technical staff, data scientists, developers, project managers, and scientific partners, helping to keep the project up to date with technological and scientific developments in the sector.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with an academic background in science, technology, computer science, engineering, or related fields. A PhD is preferred, but candidates with extensive experience in applied research, IT project management, or technological innovation will also be considered favorably.
Analytical skills, writing skills, the ability to learn quickly, critical thinking, and problem-solving are essential. The ideal candidate can delve into complex topics, identify connections across different fields, and contribute to the generation of new project ideas.
