What is ONCOHUB?
The OncoHub project is an integrated platform for personalized medicine in oncology, aimed at developing and validating new products, services, and technologies. It includes advanced molecular diagnostic tools, such as gene panels and liquid biopsy, for the early and mutational characterization of tumors, using innovative NGS protocols that combine genetic, epigenetic, and fragmentome analysis.
What is proposed
The OncoHub project is an integrated platform for personalized medicine in oncology, aimed at developing and validating new products, services, and technologies. It includes advanced molecular diagnostic tools, such as gene panels and liquid biopsy, for the early and mutational characterization of tumors, using innovative NGS protocols that combine genetic, epigenetic, and fragmentome analysis. These tools aim to improve diagnostic stratification and treatment selection, with a particular focus on minimal residual disease and individuals at high genetic risk. The project also involves the creation of advanced bioinformatics pipelines for data interpretation and the development of a bioengineered device to identify pre-tumor biomarkers linked to chronic inflammation. The platform is supported by a clinical-molecular database with a data lake and interoperability layers, capable of integrating healthcare systems and ensuring security and privacy. Finally, it includes an integrated clinical management component and a Virtual Molecular Tumor Board (vMTB) for specialist telecollaboration, facilitating diagnosis and treatment decisions in accordance with oncology PDTAs.
