NET4PA

A widespread network for the territorial and industrial development of the Region of Sicily

What is NET4PA?

The project aims to create a widespread network of “Places of the Future”—physical and digital spaces designed as a generative and collaborative ecosystem where global companies, research centers, startups, institutions, social stakeholders, and government agencies can engage in dialogue, design, and jointly develop innovative solutions for environmental, social, technological, and cultural sustainability. The main objective is to bring SMEs into the system, providing them with tools and services capable of enabling a shared on-demand production capacity accessible to all network partners, thereby promoting the competitiveness and resilience of the business community.

What is proposed

The project aims to create a widespread network of “Places of the Future”—physical and digital spaces designed as a generative and collaborative ecosystem where global companies, research centers, startups, institutions, social stakeholders, and government agencies can engage in dialogue, design, and jointly develop innovative solutions for environmental, social, technological, and cultural sustainability. The main objective is to bring SMEs into the system, providing them with tools and services capable of enabling a shared on-demand production capacity accessible to all network partners, thereby fostering the competitiveness and resilience of the entrepreneurial fabric. The vision is that of a global innovation network that unites humanism and technology, thought and action, economic development and sustainability, strengthening the connections between research, education, and business.
In particular, the project aims to position Sicily as a strategic hub of reference, thanks to the creation of a unique facility in terms of space and technology, capable of hosting key activities for territorial and industrial development, including:
• guidance on emerging technologies and market trends;
• mapping, training, and certification of digital skills;
• activation and coordination of production capacity, including on-demand;
• support and acceleration of startups; • observatory on tenders and business opportunities;
• collaborative open innovation platform;
• tools and services for the strategic positioning of companies in their target markets.

In summary, the project proposes an integrated model of innovation and cooperation, capable of transforming Sicily into an advanced laboratory for sustainable growth and the evolution of the national and international production system.
