What is proposed

The primary objective of WATER 4.0 is the digital transformation of water utilities to ensure the safe and sustainable use of water resources. WATER 4.0 pursues this objective by developing an innovative platform that enables the creation of ICT systems for integrated water service management based on building blocks developed by third parties. The goal of WATER 4.0 is therefore to create an environment where different applications and components can share information and services by operating in a cooperative manner. The resulting platform aims to become an open, standardized environment through which an ecosystem of Industry 4.0 technology companies can integrate their solutions for the sustainable management of the water cycle.
